As I previously posted, I had four cysts removed from my bumpy scalp some eight days ago. At least five cysts still remain.
Wounds seem to be healing fine with no sign of infection. Some scabs remain.
Nurse removed stitches yesterday. She said:
Keep wounds dry for another 48 hours.
Do not use soap (I think she meant shampoo, but this is Brent) when washing hair; just use water.
I have every intention of using shampoo tonight and doubt that my head will drop off as result. If I wet my hair without using shampoo, it'll just get more skanky.
I appreciate such cautious advice is probably harmless but am dismayed the public is fed total tripe by health care professionals. Dry clean wounds are fairly well bug-proof in 48 hours.
Scab fest tonight!
