Accommodation in Aberdeen
« on: 19 December, 2009, 06:11:59 pm »
I'll be in Aberdeen for a day in mid-January. As the flight is stupidly expensive (>£250), I'll probably get the train up and that'll mean spending a night in The Granite City. So, what B&B does the panel recommend on a budget of £50?
What on earth am I doing here on this beautiful day?! This is the only life I've got!!

Where are you starting from?
The sleeper train goes from London to Aberdeen.
It's a fantastic way to travel.

Second the sleeper.   Take some earplugs though.

Travelodge, Premier Inn, yadda yadda yadda.....
Do not clench. It only makes it worse.

Last time I stayed it was at the Ramada.

OK, albeit nothing to write home about.....

Avoid the Travellodge in Bridge Street/Union Street.  There are a fair few B&Bs but you will need to book as soon as possible if it is a weekday as the oil industry workers tend to book out accommodation quite fast.

Cheers for your advice, but accommodation is no longer needed as the people I'm heading up to see are going to pay for the flight .
