I realise - based on a memory that the first time we rode together, we worked out you couldn't quite legally be my mother  ;D

This Tuesday, Darlo. Pub TBC.

Bunbury's last pub run before he flies south for the winter. Anyone else around?

Would love to, but got to be in Brum for a couple of days.

How far away from the station do you work these days Ruthie?  Are you at the memorial hospital?  In which case, how about I get the train that arrives at 1823 1833 and we wait for you to turn up.  Deano, which pubs do you suggest?

Depends how far we want to go! The Crown at Mansfield is the classic choice.

I can't see me getting to the station before 7 or even half past?

Could have a loop out and meet back at a pub in town.

That's more do-able for me.  The Mowden's supposed to be good these days.  Or the Stead and the Tanners both got Loo of the Year awards.  Which is nice.

Tell you what, I'll check here in the morning and see what you decide you want to do, and I'll join you if I can.  It's Darlington CC's meeting tonight so I'm going to bed with a hot chocolate because bollocks to that, it's cold and dark.

I saw Bunbury the last run before he went rimming, so it'd be good to see him tomorrow if possible.

I hope he's brushed his teeth and had a good rinse out with some mouthwash.  ;D

Well that was a lovely catch-up  :)  as Bunbury rides off to the heathen wilderness to forge an existence from the bones of the land.

The "Ass" rather than "Aah" was very much a predictive text spoonerism.  Oops.

I hate productive text. Good luck with your pacific rimming. Is there anywhere to read about it?

The Pacific rimming has finished!  It came to a successful climax when I decided to junk the southern half of the ocean and ride home round the world instead.  You can read about it in the link in my sig.

If anyone does fancy it, tiermat and I will be having a wee ride a week on Wednesday. Looking like the Dog n Gun at Knayton (outside in the beer garden), Wednesday 8th July.

Anyone fancy it? Optional meet at pub, or meet in Northallerton and ride out together. Could go up Boltby Bank, if anyone fancies it...?

I think I will be there. If the weather is good, that is.

Might be worth eating first as the pubs will still be trying to work out how to deal with the new requirements.

D&G are not serving on Wednesday at the moment, for instance.
I feel like Captain Kirk, on a brand new planet every day, a little like King Kong on top of the Empire State

I'm going to play in the hills on the mtb first, so I'll take a pack up and meet you at the pub.

Rain will stop play, mind.

What time d'you expect to be at Knayton?

My route isn't very long but it may contain a fair amount of walking.
