There. I've started it.

One thing that puzzles? How did the chap get inside the police car unheard?

Don't cops lock the rear passenger doors normally?  They very ostentatiously did when they interviewd me for towing my own boat on a perfectly roadworthy trailer (they thought I'd nicked it!).

It's not proper Luther anymore - he didn't smash up his office and bung a computer through the window once!

I'm so pleased to see this series making a return, it takes dark and moody to new heights (or should that be depths ?).  Idris Elba is magnificent.

His new boss (the one who was out to 'get Luther' in the previous series) has the feel of the Gatehouse* about him, I think.

Speaking of his new boss, I loved his little line to the scrote he was interviewing in last night's episode.

They are locked from the inside - like child locks. (apparently...)

He was phone-videoed by the porn film nasties (when his hand was nailed to a table) agreeing to lean on a witness in a court action against the same nasties.

Totally epic!

Best thing on telly this year. Really clever story, great script, great characters, thoroughly satisfying ending...

SO WHY THE FUCK WERE THERE ONLY FOUR EPISODES?

AAAAAAAAARRRRRRGH!!!!

enjoyed every episode till he pulled out the Gideon Bible as the "key to the code". Lazy plot device. And I dunno why the fuck he stays in a shitey high rise and drives an old volvo. Clearly the props guys from Eastenders are working on it too..."No, really this is how proper London cops live".

Oh yes. Lazy and obvious - saw it coming a mile off. That and the sticking the body in the other bloke's boot. Too predictable.

And how quickly did they manage to track down the psycho's IP address and from that his physical location? That made me laugh out loud.

Plus, as m'colleague pointed out, he didn't actually see that side of the lorry before he went inside it, so how did he know the position of the lettering on the outside?

However, despite all that, I enjoyed it in all its bonkers glory far too much to let any of these things worry me.

'course there are a lot of holes in the plot.  Petrol fumes are highly explosive.  You can be quite a way from where you poured the petrol, too.  I think the lorry should have gone up when he lit the zippo.

Great series though.

+1 to all of the above.  Bloody brilliant
