enjoyed every episode till he pulled out the Gideon Bible as the "key to the code". Lazy plot device.

Plus, as m'colleague pointed out, he didn't actually see that side of the lorry before he went inside it, so how did he know the position of the lettering on the outside?

Cos' he's Luther and clued up to fu*k and was looking at the reflection of the truck in the office block windows as he made his approach.

Simple innit?

Saw Series 2 on Netflix last year and loved it, but at the time didn't realize it was the second season (Netflix didn't mention it) and only recently realized that there was a preceding season and just got hold of it...and it's even better!

Bump!

S4, such as it is, starts on Tuesday.  Two episodes, BBC?  You really know how to spoil us.

It's all a bit straightforward so far.  Though DS Chisholm Patrick Malahide is going to be very cross when he finally gets free from that radiator.  Obv Alice aten't dead, though, so he'd better pray Luther gets to her before she gets to him.

Didn't have a chance to watch it last night, so will look forward to that. 2 episodes only though. What are they thinking.

I been rewatching the whole thing and it's mostly just as bonkers second time round.  Most notably how Luther's car went from a G to H reg in the space of one episode.

I think, young Lazzer, it can be easily explained due to editing. What most likely occurred was, Luther approached the DVLA about changing the registration, but this process would have taken up far to much time and, perhaps, might have been a tad boring for Luther fans.

Well done, and top-marks for your keen eye! A lovely badge saying: "I'm a Luther Lover!" will be sent to your home address.

The boy has been discovering it for the first time via Netflix, so I ended up watching the end of S2 last night. And yes, totally bonkers. But in a good way.

Enjoyed watching the boy's jaw drop at the truck scene.

I'm beginning to think Neil Cross has a Thing for old "executive" cars, first with Luther's Volvos and now Megan's Pikey Old Beemer.  At least Alice had the good taste to drive a Jensen FF.

Not sure about the latest episodes. Seems poorly written and acted compared to before.

I've watched series 1 and have 1 episode of 2 to watch and, and have to say, I'm kind of underwhelmed. Two things strike me; the plots forsake cohesion for the sake of tension, and Idris Elba is not quite the actor I thought.

I do enjoy the old cars though; Saabs, Volvos, etc. The series buyers have been sourcing awfenic mo'as from east London car lots perhaps. I also like the locations; I didn't realise London was so Gotham-like with it's abandoned warehouses.

It's certainly watchable in its own way but a tad too clunky for my liking.

One thing I do like about "Luther" is that you know who the murderer is right from the off.  No tedious red herrings or attempts to pin it on the archdeacon.
