Wyle and Ebble valley 2017
« on: 10 September, 2017, 02:33:04 pm »
Hi All.I may be a bit optimistic but I was thinking of entering this this year. Can anyone let me know about the current route as I believe it now avoids the A303?
Thanks

I read that as "avoiding a .303" and wondered which route could possibly put the riders in danger of getting shot.
You're only as successful as your last 1200...

I don't think postie has issued this year's route but last year we controlled at the Rare Breeds place then retraced to Cholderton before heading down past Porton:

The route is the same as last year. Full details out soon. Just waiting for the finish control to confirm.

Family situation precludes. However I have worked out a route from home so my first DIY is on the cards. I just need to work out the formalities.

Any chance of a late entry Postie?

34 rides sent on there way this morning,  over a third didnt start which is disappointing, especially as the weather is so nice.
May go back to postal entries only as that seems to cut down the dns rate !!! I guess all to easy to press a button on a computer and six pounds is no a lot these days to waist.

Those that didn’t turn up missed a great day.
A great route, almost perfect weather (20 minutes of light rain over The New Forest) and wonderful controls. I must see if my better half will act as chauffeur so I can enjoy a pint or several at the Arrivée next year.
Thanks for organising this Postie.

Great ride and a great route - thanks Postie!  Riding in the sunshine this morning was gorgeous.
