My website can be reached by clicking the WWW underneath my forum picture to the left.

But for ease: Randonneur UK which now has a GPX file of the route.  The route sheet will be uploaded over the weekend.

who is off today (Monday) doing a hilly highland 100.  ::-)

The hilly 100 I did after the Snow Roads is now available as a permanent (cards arrived today).  Called "Glen tae Ben", the route is all in the title: Glen Quaich, around Loch Tay and then over Ben Lawers.  116km and 1.75AAA.  A beautiful ride.

See my website for info (more will be added over the weekend)

Went up Ben Lawers on a gentle ride from Dundee a few weeks back. Somehow my knees decided to make serious objection.  :(

Lovely route though.

I did the Snow Roads perm on Saturday, starting & finishing in Banchory. Had a nasty headwind from Dufftown to Glen Isla, but otherwise the weather was good; not too hot (though it was rather chilly at 6am in Banchory). Stopped in Dufftown & Braemar for food.

Saw loads of wildlife (buzzards, hares, deer, stoats) and the Elgin CC lads (apart from elgin_al) who I rode with on the Only For Softies 600  They were doing a Cabrach/Lecht loop in the opposite direction. We just waved to each other on the Cabrach (I was descending) & stopped to chat when we met again at Corgarff.

I can see why Kirriemuir is the preferred départ for the calendar event. Starting from Banchory means you face the Cairn o'Mount after 280km & 5 big FO hills  :hand: (just as well there was a tailwind by then).

All good fun & the first time I've ridden a 300 solo  :D

Well done Mr Pingu.  How did the timings work out starting in Banchory at that time.

Brevet cards now validated and have been posted out tonight.
Our cards for the Snow Roads must have come from Paree by the same slow boat across the Channel. They arrived yesterday, now duly processed and posted to you this morning.

It's a bit weird, but actually quite wonderful.
