I'm being looked after very well by loadsabikes, but I'm starting to feel unloved and ignored again, I'm never happier than when I'm being talked about (as long as it isn't in connection with those hands on hips, obviously).

I'm not a million miles from loadsabikes so happy to look after you for a while. Off to France soon so you may need to bring your passport though.

If you can make a weekday or evening ride this week we could arrang something.

So. Is there an LEL plan sorted?

If not, can we get one arranged, or is the baton off on its summer hols now?

We're still happy to escort it North if its getting bored with London  ;).

No we didn't manage to sort out a handover, so unless loadsabikes can meet me en route to P'boro station tomorrow it will miss out on a trip to France.

Based on Chris's post, I believe you were passed to him at Kirton and then to MattH at Market Rasen.  You now enter the land of certainty, where you were passed to me at Pocklington and I passed you to CrinklyUncle at Appleton Roebuck on a Wednesday night ride to the pub.  You've now passed back to the land of conjecture again, but since CU didn't go on the KttR ride on Saturdy, I believe you're still at his house.

God, I don't know. I found you in Kirton, in the care of Loadsabikes, and gave you a trip over the Humber, to the edge of the Grim bit. I showed you POCKLINGTON, and gave you to MattH. How can you have lost yourself?

OMG. Are you in a drop bag? You must REEK by now....

Blimey, that's a lot of handovers.  Where are the photos???  It would appear that the admin has all gone a bit Pete Tong  :o

The Mighty Charlotte captured loadsa handing over to me. No one (except probably DrMekon) saw the me-Chris-me interaction, so it never happened. I think Bunbury snapped the fboab->MattH handover.

Beyond that, wasn't me guv, I wasn't there...

Mr Bunbury has photos from MattH to him and from him to me.

You are now at our house in York.

For your next adventure, I was thinking of a trip around the solar system carried between each planet by a different rider, as there are a few of us around here.

Bonus points for getting as many baton-based 2001: A Space Odyssey references in there as possible.

At last!  The baton has made it's way to Yorkshire.  There must be an opportunity to get said baton on short hops to Northallerton, Darlinton, Teesside and then westward to billplumtree.  Will the baton be ECE'ing the Tees & Cake or KttR audax events shortly?

I don't have any pics of Boab handing LeBaton to Matt.  However, here's one of him handing it to me

... and here's one of me handing it to CU.

When did the Bunbury-Crinkly Uncle handover take place? That looks like snow outside the window and it's making me feel all... cold.

York is Oop North in the frozen, snowy wastes, you know.

Something weird with the lighting. I guess you've had armies of Viking slaves out sweeping up the snow and ice, taking down the igloos, herding away the reindeer, fighting off the walruses and warding off the witches.

Take a look at the original post on page 1 and the photos.

Of all the threads I've started this is my favourite.

Some of the people in the early photos are almost recognisable as the same people today.  :D

I like this one:

12) Tewdric to Salvatore - Monmouthshire

Salvatore manages to appear quizzical and bemused in one.  :D

Crinkly Uncle, I'm planning on cycling down to York - do you still have the baton - can we do a handover?  I can take it north and it will have access to the Ralph Cross audax and access to anyone doing an ECE.  Also plenty of parishioners nearby to aid the baton on it's journey.  Deano, Lantern Rouge, Ruthie (nee Lindagordinho) etc.

Someone will probably have to do something special to get it to Scotland (or out west, if the baton wants to see Cumbria).
