Lift it off and do the repair with it suspended in the air, it will be a doddle. I jack my roof up a bit each time I repair the timber frame in the walls and lower it down after the repair is done and the new section is in place.

If it weighs more than a tonne, I'd be surprised.

I'd strap a lattice beam to it at regular intervals to stiffen it and lift the whole thing up in one piece with a couple of lever hoists or chain hoists, depending on which way you swing.
We are ad idem on that then.  Removes a lot of risk and cost.

I would strap the aluminium scaffolders lattice to the front of the balcony and lift off the beam, with something to stop the two returns on the ends tipping it over. It should easily lift straight off the deck if done properly.
