I am planning to hitch a carry-freedom Y trailer to a single speed bike.
currently the solid axle of the current hub (possibly a Zenith) is not long enough for accommodating the 5mm thickness of the hitch bracket.
So thinking of building a wheel with a surly ultra hub like this one
https://www.sjscycles.co.uk/hubs-other/black-32-surly-ultra-new-track-fixedfree-rear-hub-120mm/Does the panel think this will work out ok?
Seems that the surly hubs fit M6 bolts, and if the standard bolt is not long enough it could be swapped for a longer A4-80 steel bolt.
Another concern is the fact that the surface of the hitch bracket is not knurled and am wondering if slippage of the wheel against the frame dropouts could occur.
