When Ms Manotea the Younger was younger I took her and her sister figure skating (see: Manotea - the Skating Years). Ms Manotea the Elder worked her way through the NISA grades whilst Ms Manotea the Younger's feelings could best expressed with her response when I asked if she could tell that I had had her skates sharpened. "Yes", she said, "It was even more horrible".
