I purposely-worded my previous post to avoid any hint of impropriety.

Indeed,  my inbuilt fnaar-filter read it thusly:

Helen, given the mental age of most of the blokes reading this thread I (and some of the girls too) I think you would be well advised to stop mentioning puppies  ;D

They are young or baby dogs.

Yes.  As always I am mindful of the tone.  We have standards to maintain.

Slight change of plans from me (what do you mean 'again' !?)

I'm going to balance CO2s by popping along to both a car and cycle related jolly in one evening.

Because of this, my ETA at Broad's Green will be around 21:00 by which point I dread to think what I'll find  :o

Hoping young Mr Oaky won't be on his own for the first part of the evening, sorry about that if so  :( :(

It looks like I will have at least two punters with me, one of which is a minor.

No, I'm much more special than that.  More like a Special C#ntstable  ;D

Don't knock walkie-talkies, they are extremely useful in a whole range of bike/pub related situations

Whereabouts are you, OD, starting from? I have time to kill and a meander up to Witham is a possibility.

The duck pond on the River Walk.  We're setting off about 6pm.  Alternatively meet me at home at about 5:45.

No worries.  Remind me again:  how do I find my way to Melbourne?  Once I'm there I can ask one of the friendly natives the way to the Chignall road ;)

(Actually, I'll just do this instead, which has the advantage of me not getting KILLED TO DETH en-route).

EDIT:  I'll be setting off from Chelmsford station at around 7pm.  boab may or may not be meeting me there.

I'll meet you at the station then for a bit of a ride up. I know all the roads too...

[edit] I just had a look at your route - going through the park (out of the town) is much more pleasant.

Hope you're having a good time, folks.

Here are the puppies:

We've decided to go for the golden one, it was a little more lively although it's very early days for them. They were most sweet and mum was very friendly.
