It wasn't Etape du Tour because that is later in the month. It was a tough stage though run in high temperatures.
I ask because a member of the extended family put himself in hospital following the ride - took 4 hours longer than anticipated and due to a temperature in the 40s ended with dehydration and heat exhaustion.

Good news is that after 3 nights in the ICU he has been discharged and after an overnights rest in a hotel he should be flown home this evening. Was quite serious for a time.
