 Can't help thinking it is a lot of work for something that may not be as structually sound as the original.

 One of those things that must be tried though  :)

If you think that's cool, take a look at Olli Erkilla's site. The machines he makes from old bikes are stunning. I'm a particular fan of his mono forked fixed and the vintage track peugot.

It's beautiful isn't it. Looks like a heap of shit at first glance then you notice the details. The fluted seat tube and chainstays, the ornate top tube protector, the rear brake bridge... just stunning.

I see his SUV bike is for sale at the moment. That would make the perfect machine for the apocolypse. I can imagine AndyGates or Charlotte cruising around on that tearing some zombies a new arse.  ;D
