That's not a GIF[1], it's an HTML 5 video.

Try this:

[1] Yes, I'm aware that GIF has come to mean "short, looping animation" rather than the file format that should have died a death in the late 1990s, but lingers on improbably because of the popularity of short looping animations.  I blame Young People.  Gerroff my lawn.  Etc.

The German city of Bielefeld is offering a million Euros to anyone who can prove that the city does not exist.

I'm probably ineligible for that, because I've been there.  It was the first time I ever travelled on a train.

This thread is as good a place as any to leave the next "and finally"-type news story.

Tired: extraterritorial jurisdiction.

Wired: extraterrestrial jurisdiction.

Nasa is reported to be investigating a claim that an astronaut accessed the bank account of her estranged spouse from the International Space Station, in what may be the first allegation of a crime committed in space.

Anne McClain acknowledges accessing the account from the ISS but denies any wrongdoing, the New York Times reports.

Her estranged spouse, Summer Worden, reportedly filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission.

Surely this tale of death by miss-adventure is peak France, n'est ce pas?

Quote
Having a cardiac arrest during sex on a business trip can be considered a "workplace accident", Paris Court of Appeal has ruled.

The ruling came about after a Frenchman, who was a safety technician, went on a business trip in northwest France and died while having sex with an unknown woman.

His employer, construction specialists TSO, argued that because the incident happened after his working hours and because he died in a room different than the hotel room reserved for him, it should not be held liable for the death, said the court statement seen by Euronews.

Good.  I spent a couple of hours trying to accurately measure my femur using a barakta and no CT scanner earlier; I draw the line at head calibration.

I don't think I've seen that open-source intelligence (OSINT) analysis technique used before - certainly, not by the people I follow on social media who are interested in what North Korea's getting up to! ;D

The Moscow Times is one of the few relatively independent media outlets in Russia, so I'd say that's gen.

You got me bang to rights,  I run NewsGuard, so I did know. But hey, it still has the air (and moisture) of a spoof.
