Epsom - Canterbury: Pilgrims' Way ?
« on: 25 April, 2023, 10:54:01 am »
I have some friends heading from Epsom to Canterbury and they were wondering if some of the Pilgrims' Way would be a suitable route for their hybrid and road bikes.

What are the panel's thoughts ?

Many thanks.

Depends how rainy it's been of late. And how good their bike handling skills are.

Large sections that are bridleway are entirely ok. Some bits are a little rocky.

The chalk sections will be quite slippery if wet but the bridleways pass through some very pleasant countryside  :)

There's shortish sections of chalk and rocky sections that might be tricky in the wet. You can walk them.
