Pictures on Facebook
« on: 31 August, 2019, 08:52:47 am »
I see have seen many sets of pictures on facebook so far but today I have seen the posting of the best that I have seen so far which amongst the facial expressions etc does capture the true essence of PBP and amongst them, many people I know (from the UK)  including my self.

Chris Crossland at work doing his bit at registration, Shaun from Stoke on Trent four corners Audax. Bristol riders. From VC167, Aiden Headley getting interviewed at the finish,  Angie (two good ones), Ulrich I presume finishing,  Julian and Steve on the tandem, Bob Johnson, Mike Metcalfe finishing, presume its Mike by his orange bike and many others from the UK who I cannot put names to.

Despite the amount of pictures they are all worth a look at.

Liked your album - especially the lady wheeling a bike in a white box whilst holding an umbrella. Even found two of me (J271). Thanks.

Thanks for posting the pictures Ivo. My efforts where disastrous this year, the few I took on my phone where Ok, but those I took with my camera itself, most were awful, they all seemed out of focus or over or under exposed. I knew there was an issue but could not see what was happening. It seemed in the bright sunlight and poor light, the camera could not get a resolution to take a picture as I was not hearing the "beep" after a half press of the shutter to confirm that I could press the button all the way to take the picture but presumed it must be OK. But sometimes I was.

After failing to get it to work properly after a reset' I re-examined it again this morning, I found somehow it had changed a setting, to an "Auto "Auto Scene"" setting which I did not know existed and in testing it, when the light is very bright or dull, it cannot come up with a "shooting" resolution. Something to watch out for in the future.

Have to confess Ivo has the knack of taking some really, really good photos.

Mine:

The lense on the camera tended to get a bit sweaty which hasn't helped.

My old photo provider folded so I had to migrate my old series to zonerama.
