Damon,

4256 is our very own Wellard of this parish.

'Brit at Gorron' is Barryn (sp?) Buck, son of the onion salesman.

Great pics.

Guilty m'lud

If that was taken at Loudeac en-retour on Thursday Weds night then that is shortly before I succumbed to mutliple cholera and dysentry (allegedly) the following morning - happy memories  :)

Many of them taken by Heather Swift, a few of them taken by Liz, I'll probably end up putting all my pictures on there.

Great pictures Damon, Liz and others, they really catch what I imagine to be the atmosphere.

You've got the date set wrong on your camera

The internal battery on the M603 is kaput and it resets the date when you change the main battery. This picture was taken with the SD1 Tinteniac Sonya Crawford, catwalk model on Flickr - Photo Sharing!
within minutes of the M603 taking this shot
Tinteniac Donald Sutherland and Robbie Duncan. on Flickr - Photo Sharing!
I'm sure a stickler for detail will help me out by re-dating all the M603 shots, they could then move on to correlating those dates with those of the video capture shots which are dated on the day of download. Any volunteers.  ;)

I have upped the exposure on some of the darker shots. I'm continuing to experiment with Vimeo, a video hosting site which can handle a sort of High Definition. I have posted a 7 minute film in standard definition showing Loudeac on the PBP. There are a couple of short films on Natural History which are experiments to see how much detail can be handled when there is less movement. I think they'll need a good broadband connection and a fairly fast computer. I'd be interested to hear how well they stream and if they need to buffer. You do that by pressing pause and waiting for the progress bar to fill up.

There is also a channel on Vimeo for cycling films.

Really good stuff Damon. Very crisp, and ALMOST stutter-free throughout (of course my connection here must contribute). Didn't seem to require any buffering.

There will be a slight glitch every second as a frame is dropped to convert from the 25fps PAL standard to the 24fps used on Vimeo. There is also a bit of a glitch from the original edit on the interview with Pete Turnbull. I need to track down a site which streams at 25fps. But Vimeo seems to be the most arts orientated of the sites.

Great video, Damon. How lovely to hear an accent with gorgeous Leyland overtones (Chorleyite exiled in Yorkshire).

 :)

No buffering required for me and played really smoothly.

Where in Yorkshire are you ? Might you be interested in a ride ? That sounds awful doesn't it, I mean my M62 Axis of Evil ride. See the Rides & Touring Board.

I'm in Beverley, East Yorkshire - I did have an interested look at the thread for your ride, MSeries, looks great, but think it would be too much for me at the moment, given my almost total lack of cycling since my LEJOG in 2006!  :(
