Ruby Holdsworth all fettled and ready for a spell on those new-fangled variable gears; back on the cog for the final 600 in September...

I've made initial approach to ACP on Brian's behalf btw...we'll see how it goes...

I'm tempted to suggest outbound via NH, back via Woodham Walter to her.  She's done NH (two repeats) before, so I think she'll probably go for it.  I don't know what the mini-AndyC33's would prefer though.

Elderson is busy tomorrow but Middleson is still keen and is happy to attempt TMNH for the first time!

I'm thinking 7:30 at the Morrison's Local on Hatfield Road (i.e. the former Jack and Jenny).

I'll be in London during the day, but will try to make sure I'm back in time - Acorn#1 is very keen on this.

Weather is looking not too bad, wet during the day, but dry and clear by 19:30.

I'm guessing at an 8:30ish arrival at the Hurdlemakers.

I'll aim for the same, probably get tea there (epic food portions last few times I've eaten there) though I shall be giving TMNH a miss tonight and arriving on a more direct route from Chelmo via Hanningfields & Stow Maries airfield

I have an important announcement.

A consignment of injured and geriatric persons will be wafted to the Hurdlemaker's Arms leaving my place at 8.30. I am chauffeur so will be on shandy.

Quite a packed evening.     Lots of PBP paraphernalia, jolly hats off to them! :D

Chapeaux to the youngsters who not only had the egg but also did TMNH too! :D

Unfortunately I didn't get a group photo till later and they had departed by then to ensure their adult leaders were in bed in time for work morning! :)

Last of these shots for this year I think, I had my lights on by 20:10 tonight!

Chatted to the head bar man at The Woolpack last night who intimated that not having CAMRA membership wasn't a problem for Wednesday... So if peeps want to do the Woolpack, there's an option for you...  I think I will be having a walk down to test some beer anyhow :)

I have no problem with dropping in on Wednesday. I'm not a CAMRA member but happy to show some support. What do others think?

I'm not a CAMRA member either, but I'll be heading down for a pint or two.... enjoyed a lot of the 80/- they have on at the moment last night, so much so, my body isn't thanking me for it today LOL

Only problem I can see at the moment is bike parking, there's often quite a few parked/locked against the wooden fence opps the pub, other than that its a bit limited to lamp posts for locking to (the car park has a large marque in it for the beer festival...)

There is the option of my office car park.

It is slightly closer than the walk to Admirals Park but no doubt Huggy will come up with the exact number of footsteps.

The consensus for tomorrow evening appears to be Chelmsford's version of the Woolie - Witham has one too, as does Emmerdale of course.

Therefore, my library of routes offers this for the Witham peloton.

Records show my first visit to The Woolie was 6th February 2013 when myself and Oaky followed a slightly different route.  I remember the night well.  It was cold, wet and horrible.  Oaky was on his Globe and not on fine form from a cycling POV, we were both very pleased to get to the pub and came home by the most direct route possible.

Is that just you on your own or will any one want to come with you do you think ?

DL will probably be waiting for a delivery of some sort for one of his special hobbies but what about the rest ?

I will probably cycle up from Chelmsford and back to Chelmsford or something else entirely.  Just slightly cautious about planning after getting caught in this morning's monsoon which wasn't on the forecast.

Huggy, if you are coming I will try to remember the vitamin I that I owe you.

Bobb, likewise for your light.
