Chris S:
Martin's original post borrowed for the ride reports board, here

Martin, what is the control list for this route? I have family near what I suspect is the route; might make a convenient 40-winks location.

SimonB; your photo gallery link from the ride is borked

I should add that I rode this a week after La Marmotte so was still Knucking Fackered

Chris S:
Thanks. Doesn't quite go where I thought it might - I'll save the folks for LEL and book a Travelodge room for the StN instead.

good idea; You should be able to get to the one at Blyth by about 0100 and you won't need to leave until 0630-0730 depending on speed/ fairy visits etc. You'll meet a lot of other riders after that control.

It's pretty flat, just very basic. I've warmed to the ride a lot since doing it; my biggest bugbears were where the entry fee went and having to drive back afterwards (carrying about 200 AUK points in my car). And it was my last dry 400+ ride  :-\

We are well overdue a long run of good weather.
