THE TOURING TWO ARE BACK.
« on: 31 August, 2021, 06:00:39 pm »
So for the 2nd year, young Sam's(now 12 years old) planned tour of Holland is off the menu. So he chose riding to Wales instead and yesterday we set off on our summer tour 2021.

Yesterday. Home to warminster 73miles.
Up along ports down hill and then towards Winchester for our first stop at brambridge Garden Centre.
After crossing the test valley we enjoyed a picnic lunch on the green at lockerley.,then up through Salisbury and a afternoon stop at wilton before tackling the Wylye valley to warminster, Sam was smashed and saying his legs were stinging about 8 miles out! But in true fashion he dug in and got on with it, his reward, hot bath and a indian as requested.

Day 2,
Warminster to Thornbury, very much a railway day after climbing up and through longleat with its stunning views which Sam loved, then on to frome to join our first railway line of the day to Radstock for 11es.
Then north to join railway line number 2 to Bath through the two tunnels, picnic lunch in Bath and railway line number 3 the bath to Bristol line as far as Mangotsfield to join railway no 4 going north again, bumped in to John from ac Bristol on this section and had a chat
Then some more lanes to Thornbury to finish with 51 miles done.

Tomorrow we cross in to Wales.
