When Farrell/Sexton are "kicking", I think the TV producers are willing the ball to do something on its own out of sheer boredom.

*grumbles in Scottish*  Fair result, our discipline was shoddy.

Ireland are playing well, France are playing well. What's not to love.

I'm slightly sorry for Finn Russell. He played superbly last week, but I think it's true to say that his errors today were a significant difference between the two sides.

I was very pleased to see a tight-head prop score a try.

France Ireland is quite a match!

Scotland Wales was not a great game of rugby, certainly not one to watch again, unlike this  current Fr Ire one!

A great game.   Hoping for the French 6 nations drought to finally end.

So France for the Grand Slam?

Can’t see England beating either France or Ireland.

Hoping we beat Italy and Wales  ;D

Coincidence that Russell caused both sendings off in the this game and the previous one, for the same offence!  In the England match his superb cross-field kick forced Someone Double-Barrelled into an intentional knock-on, which yielded his departure and a penalty try.  No penalty try this time but Russell off for the same offence.  He is an excellent player, though.

Let's see: France undefeated, Wales beat Scotland who in turn beat England.  What price a home win in Rome tomorrow?

Italy 14/1, draw 1/75, England 1/33, according to one site I looked at. An Italy win would be a good laugh though.

I misheard a commentator's remark during the France-Ireland game. I thought he referred to an Irish player named Kiernan, but it was Keenan. It prompted me to find Tom Kiernan, who was, at the time of his retirement in 1973, the most capped Irish player and their leading points scorer, and part of the furniture of the home internationals when I first took an interest in rugby. I found that Tom had died earlier this month, aged 83.

Well, I was looking forward to watching the England Italy match at 18:00 on the BBC. I’ve just seen the result on the Graun webby science and was confused so I looked at the TV schedules again. Oh….

Fed up now.

Well, I'd say reading the text updates would have been a better experience than watching ITV. The commentary was abject.

I've just found some highlights on BBC with an Andrew Cotter commentary. I think it might have been added on later.

Edit: it's Rugby Special on Beeb 2.

This Marcus Smith lad looks to be to be the best stand-off England have had for some time. OK, it's only poor old Italy, but he still looks very classy.

And he's got the Elvis lip, too.  Star all round.  If he can stay healthy, he looks like being a worthy successor to Dan Carter.
