Alternative Title was Randy Scouse Git

A pedant writes: Somewhere deep in my memory, something says that it was "Alternate Title" not "Alternative Title"

Both Martin and Tim the Pedant are right!
Why should anybody steal a watch when they can steal a bicycle?

Orchestral Manoeuvres  in the Dark?

correct; Winston was a tape recorder used for their backing track (I saw the two of them with Winston play in front of the stage curtain in 1979 thus)

They were supporting Gary Numan; perversely the last time I saw them in 1993 Numan was supporting them (I missed his set fortunately)

You asked for it :D

What was the title of the 1995 compilation that Sub Pop released in conjunction with Sega?

Sonic?

No :(

Given that it was a tongue in cheek question (which I had to Google myself!) in response to Roger's post the fairest thing is that if it's not answered by noon then someone else can set a question

Too many of these questions (apart from the very first one, which I knew) are just people showing off their knowledge of obscure stuff. So here's an easier one. What do the following records have in common?

Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen
Annie's Song by John Denver
The Ballad of John & Yoko - The Beatles
Unchained Melody - The Righteous Brothers
Space Oddity - David Bowie

They might be, but that's not the answer.

I very much enjoyed the link, by the way.

MSeries has it - none of them have the title contained in the lyrics.

"Me and Bobby McGee" Chris Christophersen?

I think he wrote it

Right song, wrong artist.

I am looking for the person who sung it originally, Kris Kristofferson did write it but someone else had a hit with it before he did. Not Janice Joplin.

PaulF would lose a point for spelling if he'd got the answer right  ;)
