Download GTM Free.

Load in a GPX file, hover over the track you'll see the speed between the nearest two points.

Right click each point to get lat/lon info, along with speed and lots of other stuff.

Does elevation plots too.

Here's an example screenshot (you'll need to click on it as it is a big picture).

The mouse (which isn't displayed on the screenshot) was hovering over one bit of the track on the left hand side (it's slightly purple if you look closely). You get the speed/direction/time if you hover over the track, and the window on the right pops up if you right click on the track (note the lat/lon/speed/time/etc data).

If you stick that lat/lon into google maps you'll see why it was naughty of me to be doing 48.8kph.

It looks pretty cool. WHat I will probably do is to write a parser for the gpx file to plot a graph of speed vs distance and speed vs time. It is interesting seeing which corners I really lose speed on and which are just fine. (and my top speed - 58.7 kph though that was in a 40mph limit).
