I received my wonderful Gossen Sixtomat Colour Finder today.  I'll have to check it against the Weston Euromaster for accuracy, but it seems fun to use.
Getting there...

I've just ordered a gimbal head for my tripod and a one man camo chair hide to sit in while snapping the birdies at the woods.

That should help the cub in question get a bit more creative!

Looks like it :)

an elderly 135 f2 for my canon which appears to be flawless.  And I'm now being patronised by grumpy kittens:

That is a *spectacularly* grumpy kitteh  :D

You've got to love a nice big bit of portrait glass.   I know I don't need the Nikon equivalent.  But we wants it, precious...

The old manual 135/2.8 is lovely and cheap - the 2.8 a little more expensive. With a stack of extension tubes, the 135 is a handy macro lens too (but not into the league of a proper one.)

A Watameter rangefinder.  Distance is accurate, but one image is slightly high. I have another one coming...

Got that.  Better condition than the first.

And got a Pullen one, too, which is a bit fiddlier to use, but has the original instructions with it! :o

Um, I think there's another one coming, too.  This is what happens when you go away for a weekend, and put in some cheeky bids on ebay, hoping one might come good. ;D

Been given an old Minolta dynax 300si with a couple of lenses. The lenses will fit a Sony Alpha SLR.

Full length roll of charcoal grey seamless for this weekend's location shoot.  And a C Stand for my beauty dish rig, so I don't drop it on the model's head.

I think I might need to book an advance appointment with the Chiropractor, it's *stupidly* heavy...

Not today but recently, a fancy remote control. Should be fun to play with

Let us know how you get on with it, won't you?

I was thinking of buying the Sony version for my A55.  I have a cheapy non-genuine IR remote, but as the IR receiver is on the front of the camera, it has limited usefulness!  Fine for self portraits, but no bloody use for anything which involves me being behind the camera.

OK. May be a while. If we get some flowers (indoors or out) I may try the time lapse. I also wanted something better than the standard Pentax remote for Scouts - I've tried putting a camera down an archery or shooting range, pointing back at the participants, to get a better picture than I can take from the side, but the range is very limited on that remote. Next camp is in May though.

I got a Weston Master IV meter.  It's a lovely piece of engineering.  I had one a few years ago.  In the meantime, I've had a III, and I bought a V, which sadly wasn't working and I returned, though I don't like the arrangement of buttons so much anyway.  I like the way a IV feels in the hand, and the definite feel to the actions.

I do like the Gossen Sixtomat, but I think the Weston is going to be my main meter now. :)

I bought some filter wrenches. They make very good sticks (when attached with a suitable securing rubber band) for doing follow focus.

Not bad for a few quid.

Not me, but the studio bought some Elinchrome 1s.   100 watt/second studio lights.

Shooting in the studio with large soft boxes at f/2. Bliss.

yep, I used to have one, but it went with my Mamiya C33s when I sold them.  I agree that it is a lovely bit of kit.  More appropriate to use with your Zeiss than a modern bit of electronickery.

I spotted a Canon EOS 500 35mm SLR in the window of my local charity shoppe.

£15?  Couldn't leave it behind.  It had a 35-80 f4 lens with it, and all seems pretty tickerty-boo.

Oh, and they had an Agfa Silette in good condition, with ERC and Sekonic meter.  Shame it's not a rangefinder (barely more than a box camera, despite the f2.8 lens), but a nice vintage piece for £10.

If I can work out how to use the Sekonic, I'll be away.

And, er, I need to get some 35mm emulsion.

Bought a cheap camcorder mic from Maplins. Review: Save your £20 and put it towards something that has more sensitivity and less noise.
