Slightly OT, I have a wristband made like that, with a clip at either end.

I got it cheap, from China, via Amazon (using up the last few pounds on a voucher I got for my birthday)

I view it as useful to have in case of emergency and it only weighs a few grams.  This is all part of my weigh-reduction plan for the trip next year (including ditching the full sized leatherman in favour of a tiny little one)

might work better if you take the lens cap off..

I bought a sensor cleaning kit, the liquid for it and a blower.

£65 the lot, which is pretty much the same price as a sensor clean down my local. Used two swabs out of the 10 - I don't think I needed to as I think what I thought was residual dust on sensor was actually on the lens. Doh! So that's £10 for the clean. Would have been £5 if I'd only used one swab. Bargain. Wish I'd done that before the airshow last week.

1x   Visible Dust 1.5-1.6x Swabs Green
1x   Visible Dust Hurricane Blower
1x   Visible Dust VDust Plus

It is simpler than it looks.

...and now a wrist strap http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Cordy-Classic-Paracord-Camera-Wrist-Strap-Handmade-UK-Cordweaver-/251557150821?pt=UK_Photography_Straps_Hand_Grips&hash=item3a91f98065
That's looks quite nice, I wonder how hard it would be to make one? I've already got a few bits of paracord.

Probably not hard - I even have a (free) kindle book on paracord knots, but (1) I wanted it defore I'm off to India on Sun, and I have no time (2) feels good supporting someone's enterprise.

OK, mostly (1)

OK - it's really good. Wide and comfortable, as strong as ****

I'm cheapskate and I have a lot of paracord and nuts and bolts so I made my setup which is well agricultural and is a mix of that strap and one of these

http://www.gordyscamerastraps.com/neck-sling/index.htm

The shoulder loop is just a loop of cord with a fishermans knot securing it, the leather pad is punched so the knot sits in the middle and I'm probably going to put a little bit of padding in and sew a bottom piece of leather on.

Going through grans flat it appears I have come into possession of a six-20 kodak junior. This is a box brownie style camera. I haven't the foggiest idea what film it takes or how I would use it. Any one got any pointers or a desire to use it?

It takes 620 film, surprisingly.

620 film is the same dimensions as 120, which is easy to obtain.   It does, however, need to be transferred onto different spools, which is fairly easy if you have a darkroom or darkbag.  Videos can be found to show what to do.

Thank you Clarion. Not having either a dark room or dark bag I am not sure I am going to be able to use the camera. Will have to look at disposal.

Dark bags aren't that expensive, but in any case if you just wanted to run a film or two through it, you could transfer the film onto the appropriate spools working under the duvet in a darkened room.

Make sure it is a very thick duvet and a very dark room. I have some 5x4 sheet film that has a lovely red colour cast from the thick velvet curtains and tog11 duvet.

Dark bags will save their own value very quickly.

Been a long time since I've done it but never had any ill-effects on either 35mm or 120 film. I did wait until night though, rather than relying entirely on curtains and the duvet ...

Didn't buy anything, just looked at Photokina reports and drooled a bit.
I've dusted off all those old bottles and set them up straight

not bought anything, but just sold my leica :(

not using it enough to justify it, and the used price is plummeting.. I'm keeping the lenses just in case I win the lottery next year and can afford another one!

Dang.  By that criterion I should sell my SLRs. Not going to.

Just received my new Canon 18-135mm IS STM.
(29mm - 220mm equiv on my EOS)

Absolutely silent (and rapid) focussing with STM motor.
Crisp handheld shots at slowish shutter speeds and smooth handheld video with the IS.

Lovely.

New arrival forces sale of a couple of my other lenses plus bag.
