I put some batteries in the F3 and it works perfectly!  It's well battered and brassed but that gives it street cred.  Even the viewfinder LCD works despite being five times beyond its expected service life.  I'll change the prism cover as that is really bashed and I need a new AE lock button (they always fell off the earlier F3 bodies) but apart from that there ain't much wrong with it.  Might get a seals kit.
Hard work sometimes pays off in the end, but laziness ALWAYS pays off NOW.

I'm tempted by a converter to use my OM lenses.  A little bit.  The 70-210 zoom would be a decent birding option.

I've taken macro shots with a Zuiko 50mm plus OM extension tube(s). I used this method to copy some 35mm slides with good results.

I also have a 135mm Zuiko and I've tried wildlife photos with it (well, in the back garden) but my focusing technique needs work! Here's one I prepared earlier:

Finally got a lens for my Olympus Ace.   45/2.8  I've had the camera more than a year, and not been able to put a film through it.
Getting there...

I just got the Olympus E-410 out, and decided that I need to use it more.

The one USB cable that I've got for it is a bit limiting, so I've ordered another one, but only a £5 version rather than spending £25 on an authentic Olympus cable!

Also, in an attempt to minimise using the fiddly USB connection anyway, I've also ordered a Lexar card reader, that hopefully is a bit more useful and rugged than previous CompactFlash card readers I've had.
Actually, it is rocket science.

Bollocks. I've put my Olympus 135mm lens (with m4/3 adapter attached) in a "safe place" and now I can't find the sodding thing.

I was looking forward to trying it on my new (well, s/h) Lumix G6 body :smug:.

A Manfrotto 293 tripod. Seems pretty good, nice and solid, a lot better than the cheapo tripod I was using previously. And not too bulky/heavy, so I could carry it for walking or cycling etc.
Though I think I will replace the head, as I prefer the Arca Swiss quick release system.

A stack of batteries and a Minox 35ML!

I currently have a 35PL, but it's not the same.

just ordered a Fuji x-t10. Mirrorless looks much improved from my old lumix g2. It'll make a lovely carry around that isn't attached to a bloody phone!

The xt1 looked good but not worth the extra ££ for me, especially the weather sealing.

Should be here tomorrow

Been using a ThinkTank belt system at an event Quite useful and stopped me leaving bits of kit all over the venue.  ;D
It is simpler than it looks.

Yes, there is that risk. However I don't have a battery drill hanging off mine, maybe you do?  :D

I traded my ThinkTank camera holster for a Native American Headdress.

I look so odd anyway, the addition of some Predator type trophies on my belt doesn't make much difference.

That.  I have a TT Speed Racer bum bag thing that I really ought to sell because whilst it's very useful, I don't use it because it makes me look like a prat.

A Hoodman loupe.  I've been meaning to get one for ages because without one, trying to make any decisions based on looking at an LCD in the bright sunshine is a largely futile affair.  It's an expensive little doohickey, but if it gives me a fighting chance of getting my focus and exposure right on an outdoor shoot, it's a good thing.

Also, if you wear it round your neck, you look like a film director  :D

Ordered a Yongnuo YN-568-EX II for my Canon.

It seems to offer everything I need from a Canon Speedlight at a significantly lower price.  E-TTL and a Master/trigger for some slave flashes (eventually).

For now I can use my old Viv 283 on an optical flash trigger if I need more light.

Good'un.  Mine's my second most-used camera after the cycling Panny.
I've dusted off all those old bottles and set them up straight

Just splashed out on the fuji 10-24ois and 35mm.

It was a toss up between the 14mm and the 10-24mm, thought the 10mm zoom would be better suited to vistas and tight, enclosed areas etc.. The zoom appears to be identical to the prime at 14mm anyway.

Should be here tomorrow ;D
