boab's post made me smile, and I was feeling a bit grumpy.  In fact, I might be cheered up enough to make a cake.

Cake is always good news  ;D
The problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so sure of themselves, and wiser men so full of doubt.

Last night I woke up several times, as a result of pain.

However,  a few minutes' stomping around the bedroom alleviated it sufficiently for me to be able to get some sleep. This is a great improvement on the previous two nights. I wish I could feel my buttock though. Being unable to do so I shall have to feel Mrs. Wow's instead.

To begin a the beginning:
This morning all four kids were pleasant and cooperative, even clearing the table and doing homework.
I ran to work via nursery with Pico-J in the trailer, in 3-wheel mode, and the sun shone.
On the way I exchanged pleasantries with another forumite, of which more in another thread.
When I got to work, the first person I saw was John.  Back in September John was SMIDSYed on his motorcycle.
Weeks of coma, multiple fractures, amnesia, rehab, the whole deal.  Now he's back at work. Part time, thinner, tired-looking, but himself and standing.

Had family visit from Leeds today and it was really good to see them.  With my cousin and his wife came their grandson. Their son, My 2nd cousin, and I were always good friends as kids so it shocked me to realise that this is the forst time I have met his son and he is now 23 years Old!   Many promises of not making 70 miles bigger than a continent to cross in the future.

\o/ YAY YAY and thrice YAY!!!!!!!

In other good news, TLD's dance tutor rang last night to ask if Mrs T could take TLD to the dance class she holds on a Thursday night (different location) as a ISTD assessor will be there to see if there any children in her class suitable for taking exams in the next term or two.  Apparently only a select few were chosen from the Saturday class to go tonight....

We've booked a holiday.  It'll be my first proper holibobs for over a year (almost two years).

We're off to a little gite in Britanny for a week at the end of April/beginning of May...

...and I've even convinced Mr R we should take some bikes.

Parcelforce have just delivered my new toy.
Erbauer ERB210C 2100W Router 230V - Screwfix.com, Where the Trade Buys

I just need to remember to use it outside the garage so I don't cover the bikes with dust like I normally do.
Now I can get on and figure out how to make all those things I've been meaning to do but always needed a router for.
