it's still light at 6.00 and the clocks change at the weekend - that means it'll be light till SEVEN!!! next week - winter is nearly over!

Yes, three more commutes on the Cotic before the Langster takes over for the next few months.

I am so excited about this that I have got ahead of myself. The Langster has been brought out of the shed and had its tyres pumped up, its chain tension has been increased, and some lubing of the chain has been done ready to go next Monday AM.

After writing some new software to decode some additional spacecraft temperature parameters, I can see that the spacecraft equipment platform (or at least the Central Telemetry Unit) shows a temperature change coincident with the temperature change of our instruments box, so that means that the also coincident current consumption change is probably an effect of the instrument warming up, rather than the instrument warming up because it was drawing more current (which could be indicative of a potential instrument failure).

So, the instrument isn't falling over, which is a very good thing, since the more healthy the spacecraft is, the better the argument to continue funding it.
Actually, it is rocket science.

To be fair, my avatar is as close as I can manage to smiling for the camera.

I shall now change my avatar to a picture of my arse which should be suitably confusing to anyone who reads

"I can tell from your avatar."

When I was at the optician last week he said he thought he could see av nipping and advised me to get my blood pressure checked. I just did, and it's 112/72. Not bad for a fat bird.

Barakta has finally got a reply out of the local audiology department, and it appears that they're just going to order her two shiny new (these ones go to 11) BAHAs in her choice of colour[1] without extensive mustelid musical-PCTs funding shenanigans.

[1] They used to do bright colours, but these days it's just a choice between NHS beige™, NHS poo brown™ and BLACK, so a bit of a no-brainer.
