Storecupboard meals

After sitting fretting over whether to drive to a chippy, order curry, or something else, I decided to see what I could rustle up from the near-empty fridge and my imagination.

I ended up with:

- boiled rice whilst washing up from lunch
- stir fried some frozen peas in "wok oil"
- added 4 cloves garlic, thai 7 spice, chopped red chilli pepper, packet of tomatoes just past BB date

Stirred rice in to mix it all up, stir for a bit.

Eat with a cold beer.

Sounds good!  An egg added would have been even better.

Storecupboard dinner here is spaghetti, with olive oil and/or butter and garlic, parmesan and black pepper.  Parsley too if there's any in the garden.

Fridge didn't contain an egg, I looked.

It really is very empty.  There's some milk, some garlic, two remaining chilli peppers, and some pesto.  Oh and HP sauce.

I will have to go on a supplies run tomorrow.

I could've simply done pasta with the pesto.  But given I had pasta earlier then that seemed wrong.
