This is bugging me. Last night I watched "Britain's lost masterpieces" and the background music from the first 60 seconds is something I know but can't put my finger on. The BBC web site has teh program but doesn't credit the music.

Bingo ! Thanks I just couldn't place it.
I realize now I heard it in Joe Wright's "Anna Karenina" (ravishing production by the way) and probably several times on the radio as well.

No problem, I get that and his Spartacus mixed up and only remember which is which when I think about the start to The Onedin Line. Which must date me somewhat.
