Blimey, it isn’t actually as long as I had thought since my last run. I don’t know why I stopped again so suddenly though. I suppose I’ve not been at my best in the intervening months though.
No, I’ve not started running again, partly because I’ve still got something going on with my lungs (appointment at the breathing clinic at the end of this month). But I am feeling particularly unhealthy just now, and needed to do something ™.
So, I’ve started walking for exercise, rather than just to get somewhere. This basically entails me putting on my running gear and going out specifically for exercise. This means that I don’t get annoyed at getting hot and sweaty, which I do with even moderate exercise, thus improving the exercise value of what I’m doing.
I’m not going mad though, so no major aches or pains, but the one thing that is a bit painful is my lower back. I really need to do some yoga or Pilates or such to try and strengthen some muscles.
