You'll know the worst is behind us when you hear the pandemic being mentioned for the first time on the Archers.

Presumably there will be another time-lag and Ambridge will be in lock-down for 3 months while the rest of us are getting back to normality.

I've noticed its continued absence on both Casually an Holby I've the last few weeks, though Charlie has finally given up.

Holby have given their ventilators to the NHS, so they're not very prepared for COVID patients!

And they've gone. 69 years without a break, coronavirus got them in the end.

Good opportunity to thin out the cast if the BBC are strapped for cash.  Do dead Archers get redundancy payments?

No, they leave broke but unbowed.

Can anyone help in my cutting-edge academic research please? I recall an incident many moons ago in which Brian Aldridge got stoned on a cannabis cake baked by the then boyfriend of his daughter Kate. I’m trying to find out his name  and and the year. but my Google fu isn’t strong.

My sources tell me that in yesterday's episode one of the characters mentioned a book, The Joyful Environmentalist , three times. Some might think that this was a blatant example of audible product placement. However , my sources also tell me that the author, Isabel Losada was as surprised as everybody else when she became aware of this. Apparently she is now sitting by the phone waiting for an invitation to go on the show for a cameo performance.

I see it's subtitled "How to Practise Without Preaching". Something Mia (the character who mentioned the book) could do with taking notice of.

It’s an illustration of how far The Archers has fallen in the collective forum’s consciousness that I had to delve back 4 pages of historical threads to record that

(click to show/hide)

It was also well over a month afterwards that I became aware.

The event mentioned in your spoiler does seem to be being milked for all it's worth. Yawn.
Equally the Lower Loxley tours are getting a bit tiresome.

We need some meat! What's the full story of Rureigh (or however it's spelled) and his gigolo lifestyle? Can we have a revenge attack by his concubine Julianne?

Will the public be able to see *exactly* what's going on in the dairy and will it be a menage á deux or trois?

I recognised Jasper Carrot's voice the other day, playing the part of a resident at The Laurels. His daughter was in it a few years ago, playing city-girl-moved-to-the-country Hayley. She left after Roy did the shagging with Elizabeth.

Roy did the shagging with Elizabeth.

Ugh. What kind of perverted mind comes up with that storyline?
