https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-66921563  "Chess grandmaster Hans Niemann denies using vibrating sex toy to cheat"   :jurek: :jurek:

Do we have a resident sexpert who could explain how remote controlled anal beads could be used to cheat at chess ?  Morse code ?

There seems to be a real buzz of excitement about this story. But as yet, I've not heard anyone explain exactly how one communicates via vibrating probe...

The toy could convey a suggestion for the player's next move: the square to move from followed by the square to move to. There'd need to be an agreed code for the letters A to H and the numbers 1 to 8. There may need to be a signal from the player (stop sniggering at the back), to request a suggestion.

Other ways of receiving advice during a game are discussed here.

Some kind of indication of a bishop or even a queen in your rectum could be very useful in a game.
It is simpler than it looks.

I wonder which seminary he went to?  Halloween is actually a Christian festival.

Sort of. As he says:
Quote
He added that in his view the modern tradition of Halloween had been conceived in a "heathen, contemporary world", as a counterbalance to the Catholic feast of All Souls' Day.
Bear in mind that pumpkins and dressing up as witches etc will be, in Czechy, an American cultural import. And in the previous quote from him:
Quote
"Leaving the rectory on Sunday evening, I saw numerous symbols of the satanic feast of 'Halloween' placed in front of our sacred grounds," he wrote.

"I acted according to my faith and duty to be a father and protector of the children entrusted to me and removed these symbols," said Father Smejkal, parish priest at the Roman Catholic Church of St John the Baptist.
I wonder if the quotes around 'Halloween' indicate that he was using the English word. Maybe there is a Czech word, but clearly in his mind, there is an opposition between the Christian feast of All Saints Day and Halloween.

The really disturbing bit is that in his mind the local children have been "entrusted to" him.

Yebbut Nov. 1 - All Saints' Day - is the festival, and Halloween is a sort of stag night for ghosties and ghoulies and knights that go bump in the jarrie.

Err.. not quite.  All Hallows Eve (Halloween), All Saints (Hallows) Day and All Souls Day are the three days (triduum) of Allhallowtide.

To be pedantic, Alaska comprises a number of islands (several thousand of them in fact)...
