It's best when he purses his lips as if he's just eaten a bucket of sloes marinated in lemon juice.

Two bizarre facts about Mr. Hewer:

1. He was born in Swindon
2. He votes Labour (but then, so does Lordsugar)
Hard work sometimes pays off in the end, but laziness ALWAYS pays off NOW.

Excellent! That means we can watch it before being northwards.
It is simpler than it looks.

Four cars for four people. Not very environmentally friendly.

Tom

He's got a product & a plan but no drive, which is what AS has.  He & AS would be a decent team.

The other 3 don't have either products or real business ideas

Jim's a bullshitter & Helen is a good worker but not a creator or leader

Lordsugar finally gets one right

Helen shot herself in the foot with that quick and very transparent decision to open a chain of bakery stores  ::-)

I think he should have thrown them a googlie...

...and given the investment to Tom - but hired Helen to work along side him.  She'd keep Tom's creativity in check and keep him focused.  Then Lord Sugar would get the best of both worlds.

The Apprentice seems to have become the dragons den. The success of Reggae Reggae sauce must mean that any product launched on tv absolutely coins it in.

yes, that's what we were half expecting also.  Probably a better business decision if he had.

It seems that they're planning to leverage Tom's success with Walmart, and extend his nailcare range.

I had a similar thought too.

I'm really pleased Tom won. His idea was risky, but at least he had one

Helens business plan was naff, Susan's unrealistic and Jim's, while not a bad idea, more a philanthropic arrangement than a business.

I thought that there was a small chance he might go with Jim's plan (E-learning will become a lot bigger in the near future), but once he was sacked, I was fairly confident that Tom would win.

Why did the Englishman say "elevator"?

Because he was a bit of a tit ?

I was cringing at that "imagine you're in an elevator" schtick

What was the point of all the weeks of trials if it all came down to a good/bad business plan?

That should have been a test in week #1.

Helen's business plan didn't become bad over 12 weeks, it was a bad plan in week #1.

Helen would have won the show using the old format (looking for an assistant rather than a business venture) but she was obviously doomed from the start.

Alas, Helen fell for Sugar's schtick about 'doing what you know' and decided what she knew most about was being a p.a.

It could have been worse. He could have stood next to them and farted.
