Hydraulic brakes on a Windcheetah
« on: 09 June, 2020, 11:43:49 am »
The hydraulic (well hybrid really) brakes on my WC have gone phut. It appears that one of the actuators is no longer functional. I have had a chat with Magura (who make the brake lever) and they are of the opinion that the actuators are custom made. Two questions (as I have only ever seen one in the flesh, although I know there are more out there)
  • Does anyone know whether they were custom components and if so who made them
  • In the likely event that I will have to replace them, the dual brake lever is easy to source, the fitting that anchors the cable below the SA hub brake not so much. Is this a standard available piece or am I going to have to wait for a wee while until lockdown is eased and I can get to some machine tools to create my own?

Any enlightenment gratefully accepted.
