Good, that  :)

So, when's the first YACF MTB ride?

There was a cannock chase ride a year or so ago - would there be any interest for another?

Reasonably centrally located, and not excessively mad.

Yep. I'm up for that. Follow the Dog is good fun, even if a lot of it is more tanktrack than singletrack now :(

I've also got what looks like a decent route near Ticknall/Donington that I keep meaning to try, which may also make for a worthwhile day out...

A Cannock Chase ride sounds good to me....and I can even ride to the start ;D

And me.

Care to share?  I've done a bit of riding round there - it's only just up the road from me.

There was a route in STW 18 months ago from Ticknall, round Robin Wood, Foremark reservoir, Repton Shrubs, Bretby and back.  30 km with perhaps 75-80% on bridleways etc.  I have ridden some of it - and very pleasant it is round there too !  Some of it is sandy so well drained but there were also some really sticky bits.

It's the one JonBuoy mentioned that was published in Singletrack a few months ago. I've got a Tracklog of it somewhere, I'll have to dig it out. Includes a stopoff at a garden centre...

I'll be in Wales.  Keep suggesting dates though - eventually at some point I'll be able to come along.

I might be able to make the 18th - but it will depend on bathroom progress. Got to get a certain ammount done before the tiler arrives.

I would suggest posting in the rides board where more people are interested in events.
