Garmin Edge 305 charger
« on: 21 September, 2009, 01:53:10 pm »
My mains charger is missing ... the thing charges from USB OK but I'd like to use a main or car charger when away from the PC

... I have several chargers with the same connector (I think it's called "mini-usb" - form Motorola phones (RAZR & V220 which are interchangeable) ... does anyone know if the charger would work with the Edge 305?

(I realise I could just try it .... but I'd sooner have some guidance in case it blows something up!!     I gather that when "charger harmony" is introduced for mobiles next year the mini-usb will be the standard)

Thanks

Rob

The answer is probably yes.

To be sure, I would make sure that the 2 voltages match (check on user manual of GPS, should be written on charger) and that the amperage of the charger is more than that of the GPS.

Just seen this thread. I have a spare charger (or two??) for the Garmin Edge. Let me know if you want one.
