If anyone else tries it, it is possible to get Enblend working on an EeePC, but I had to compile it manually (ie configure/make/make install).

Neither Enblend-Enfuse 3.2 or Enblend 3.0 would compile successfully, they either failed, or actually caused the Eee to reboot. :-\

In the end I got the slightly older 2.5 to work, but I had to run configure multiple times, and then apt-get various libraries that it needed before it would configure happily.  libxmi had to be downloaded and configure/make/make installed itself, since it doesn't seem to be in any obvious repository.  I also had to set LD_LIBRARY_PATH to point to /usr/local/lib.  gcc itself proved a bit difficult, I had to make sure that libc6-dev was also apt-get'd before enblend's configure was happy.

Enblend 2.5 seems to run OK from Hugin, and produces much better panoramas, especially if like me at the moment, your camera doesn't allow you to lock the exposure for multiple shots.
Actually, it is rocket science.

I put these shots of Talla together with Photoshop CS4. Camera was just my mobile phone's 2mb
Anyone who has done the Dave Harris 200k will know Tala more than they would have liked :)

And finally the view from the top

Luckily Tala isn't on the LEL route  :D

How about a visit to Planet North Queensferry?

Or Planet Culross Abbey?

 :)

(These are 360x180 degree panoramics stitched using hugin with stereographic projection.  Much easier to do these panoramas with a panoramic tripod head. I use a Nodal Ninja 3)

Absolutely fabulous Brian.  There's surely an FRPS in those for you if you can get 20 interesting ones together.

Thanks for the reply!  I wouldn't call these "photographs" as they are too heavily processed IMHO.  In anycase these sort of images aren't a new invention  e.g.  http://www.flickr.com/photos/joshsommers/sets/72157600265551673/

rogerzilla, they made my head spin while stitching them too!
