I'm sure there's some rational behind going to the Dog Inn at Halstead, though it escapes me looking at the Interwebby pics, maybe someone's hoping the bagpipe quartet will be playing.  Anyhow, I offer this route for the Witham Peloton, should arrive around the usual non-OD route time of 9pm.

It’s was an unvisited 2013 GBG pub. Obviously it isn’t anymore.
Still unvisited by you?  The 2013 GBG quest is yours after all!

No - he was defo there when we went a couple of years ago.  It was a gem of a pub, good ale! Hope it hasn't changed since then!

Correct, I was there! [affected Max Boyce voice]  Anyhow...

I have some time on my hands.  The archives reveal THIS ROUTE to The Chequers, Roxwell which the Witham peloton might like to follow next Wednesday evening.  Those of you with sharp eyes will note the route stops at Chelmsford railway station due to the fact that it was a chilly night in February 2015 when we rode the route for the first time and I got the train home

Pray tell where is the destination the week after. I'm off work so if it's fairly local I will hopefully be there. Got some weird achy crap going on with legs which may or may not be COR related so not many miles in the legs currently.

Sounds promising so long as isn't an OD via Abergavenny route

I reckon I could intercept the Peloton somewhere between Chignal Smealy and Broads Green ...

This thread is uncharacteristically quiet. On my agenda for this evening is the topic area of 'relay perm'. Hopefully the collective brain has some knowledge.

Looks like I should be able to join at Spa Rd RBT tonight.

I have no idea what a relay perm is or what it should be. Does it involve beer? If not, can it be amended so that it does?

I'll be at Spa road.

Another "not a clue" regarding relay perm. Suggest anyone that does know sits close to psyclist to avoid interrupting the more important discussions...

On account of currently supping the local brew while lying on a sun bed beside the hotel pool in Rhodes I’m unlikely to out this evening  8)
I have no idea what a relay perm is either but am mildly intrigued to find out, only mildly though.

I'm writing this as a light drizzle caresses the environs of "Shitam", so I expect you're desperately disappointed that you can't join us tonight huggy? I hope you don't succumb to 3rd degree sunburn or alcoholic poisoning as you recline beside the pool.

I'm out tonight, so see you at Spa

First you won't organise something you don't want to attend and now you won't even make the effort to turn up.  I make it in from my Island but it seems it's just too much bother for you to make it in from yours.

You've changed Huggy.  Time to buck up your ideas before we find something else for you to organise.

That sounds like a plea for help from Huggy. I'm sure we could dial him in for this evening's discussion.s

it’s really not. I’ve been dialled in to other such gatherings in the past, I don’t mind being on FaceTime to virtually clink glasses 🍻

I haven’t even done a Witham Peloton route for this evening!!!

FFS!

Can’t we just discuss which bar snacks we prefer?

Or more importantly we need to decide on an Epiphany lunch venue. The Chequers, Roxwell could be a contender. Remind me to check whether they have a wedding license.

Judging from the previous correspondence, it might be best to take things gently, plenty of time to epiphany.

Need to schedule to avoid pub quizzes.
Boss Hoggs was good as ever.
Still don't know what a relay perm is, and quite happy in my ignorance.

Still don't know what a relay perm is

In summary, it's a bike ride that allows plenty of time for beer drinking
