Title: Developing breakfast bread
Post by: gonzo on 18 April, 2011, 08:47:54 pm
The other night I decided to create new food so chose two classics and went with them;
1) bread
2) full english

V1 Recipie:
1a) mix plain flour and water, Guiness HP sauce and a dab of olive oil. Spread thinly on teflon sheet.
1b) push rashers of bacon into bread
1c) bread into oven at 180°C for 12 minutes
1d) bread out
1e) placed sliced cheese and sliced tomatoes alternating around outer edge
1f) turn bacon over and crack egg into middle
1g) grill under medium heat for 5 minutes

Results:
- egg too hard. How do you grill an egg?
- cheese overcooked
- bacon has perfect bite-ability (doesn't break and doesn't remain attached to bit outside of your mouth so you look like a dog rending meat off a bone)
- bread is solid enough that you can support an entire english breakfast by picking up at the edges!
