BBC News - Caterpillars coat Southend cemetery trees with silk
Thanks to fhills for drawing this BBC link to my attention. I'd seen it in the local rag.
Totally irrelevantly, Roger Payne, the entymologist in that piece, bought a house from us in 1983. He's still living in it.

Saw this on the local news the other night. So are the trees dead or did the caterpillars eat all the leaves?
