Apparently recent e-Bromptons need a firmware upgrade to stop them potentially powering ahead when the rider has stopped pedalling. It is more than a little cheeky that the firmware update is ‘free until September 2021’.
Wheel meet again, don't know where, don't know when...

I'd be interested to see how well that stood up in court, unless they can claim the bikes are all life-expired by then.

It certainly contrasts very poorly with nikki's recent experience of a recall on a 25-year old Trek.

Also, it's firmware.  It's not like they've got to hold a stock of suitable replacement parts indefinitely.
