any commissioning editors (or similar) on here…?
« on: 02 December, 2010, 05:50:14 pm »
hi all, i have been asked to consider doing a publication in its entirety, including commissioning of articles. it's a great opportunity (i used to work for the company concerned) and i'm sure i can make a go of it (i can do all the design and page layout myself).

the question is, how much do i charge? anyone any idea how much i should charge in terms of either hourly rate/word count etc?

google has not provided much by way of an answer, and all the people i know who would know work for the same company, and as of the moment i'm not allowed to let it be known that this publication is being contracted out…

pm or post, cheers in advance…

In the OT knowledge section I asked a related question a week or so ago. Maybe you could use the figures there and add 10-25% for the extra responsibility...?

Have a look at NUJ rates?
