Good applications for phone

Ive got an LG GW520, and i just put googlemaps on it last night. Wow thats a good app, if only i had GPS on the phone so i could get it to tell me where i am.
Anyway, what other good apps are there, preferably free, to download to the phone?
Ive got Pushemail(absolutly crap, terribly slow so i just go on the internet on hotmail_ on it and a facebook app(also stupidly slow), but they are both crap and slow, the googlemaps one is pretty fast though.
Any other good ones that might work on my phone?

Google maps should work withotu GPS, on mine you get a position based on what cell the phone is in. Not sure what other apps you can get, I suppose anything java based.

Googlemaps work, but googlemaps beta wont work because of no gps.
Just wondering if there are any other good ones to add one.
