I’m not available this week.

Looking forward to next week, the calendar says “do your own thing”. So looks like no more MEMWNS for me this year. So Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all.

Subject to delivery by Mr Blackmore tomorrow, I will have a Santa's Sack full of the new winter jerseys at the Wagon and Horses.

And as far as the Weds next week goes, I think a visit to the spiritual home, the Compasses LG, could be on the cards.

That sounds rather appealing.

Your venue for this week appears to be Waggon & Horses, Braintree... not been and looks like I'll miss this one also  :'(
I have carefully crafted this utilitarian route that scoops up GS at the General's Arms if he's off his sick bed. I reckon on a 21:15 ETA.

Happy Christmas all! As the musky pelt of destiny is getting somewhat musty I’m going to be taking it out for an airing tomorrow- the witham boxing day 5 mile race should do nicely.

Good plan!  Do you think you could wend your way over to the Epiphany thread and let me know what you’d like for lunch?

I thought we were planning on the compasses, but I see they shut at 2130,so the woolpack sounds good

The compasses was the plan. It should also be dry.

I thought you were the weather guru? MetOffice says 0 degrees in the evening, so I think probably not, but worth being wary and routing appropriately.

Compasses is good for me.  Lets hope for dry.  Are we planning to meet up there or spa roundabout?

Right I'm setting off now, will review weather when I get home :) but given I'll have nothing in the fridge I'll probably head over for some tea a bit earlier than normal...

Will there be a fashion show tonight?

I have domestic duties to attend to early evening which is likely to delay my departure, however, I'm not liking the thought of a subzero ride home on untreated wet roads with non-winterized hoops.  Chances are that I've already had my last ride for 2017.

Hi All, I’ve decided not to ride tonight.  Too risky on untreated roads  ;)

I'm on the fence, veering towards playing it safe. I don't have tyres capable of icy conditions, and the forecast temperature is getting lower, now showing -1 during the evening. On Friday onwards the temperature will be going up a little, so I'm thinking it better to skip riding this evening.
