I have spoken with the Inestimable Mrs R and she has informed me that I might buy her dinner tomorrow night at The Compasses, Littlely Green.  Furthermore, I have been informed that she will ride one her own machines and so Tina the Tandem can stay in the garage.

I imagine we will arrive at The Compasses before 8pm.  My plan is to remain there for the remainder of the evening.

Oaky has walked the distance, so I feel confident I can ride it  ;D

I'll be there, though at such short notice not sure I can bring a family or a puppy - will they still let me in?

I might also be going for lunch there  O:-)

Good, I'd like to see it.  We are now coming on Tina the Tandem.

I have been exchanging texts with chief and he is coming as well.  Apparently he has significantly changed his appearance since I saw him last.  I have all the details but won't divulge them now as I don't want to spoil the surprise for those of you that haven't seen him for a while either.

It was great to see bloomers, chief, Tomsk and not forgetting Simon aka Andy / Jeffery last night.  As usual the great issues of the day were earnestly debated.

Our ride home was notable by virtue of the fact we got lost.  I'm still not sure how but we passed St Anne's Castle twice.  I blame my shorts.

Thanks again folks, we had a very pleasant evening.

PS - bloomers, good luck with Jack and Russell

Yes a good laugh was had. Thanks for the complete lack of support regarding Eric and Ernie.  >:(

Malcolm and I enjoyed the ride home in the full moon. It was good to catch up in our ancestral home, hopefully not too long until our next convention.

We were discussing bloomers forthcoming puppies.  The view was that two boy Jack Russells were likely to cause the occasional challenge, particularly when transported in panniers.  Naturally none of those offer opinions had the slightest idea what they were talking about and the likelihood is that Eric and Ernie will provide as much delight as their namesakes.

Nonetheless the discussion caused much merriment before we moved in to my shorts  ;D

Phew this thread was nearly on page 3!!!

Who's going to the Compasses this weekend for the summer festival? It would be good to synchronise our visits.

Chief you don't need to answer as you'll obviously be in residency.
