My dad once told me there'd been a great aurora the previous night but my mum had vetoed getting me out of bed because I had school the next day.  As a result I have never seen one.  :weep:

My grate frends Arnold and Marieke have just returned from a week cruising up the coast of Nogweegia during which they did not see the aurora, because it wasn’t dark enough.  But they got a spectacular case of it after getting back home, wot is in a rural bit of The Nether Lands.

It’s too damn hot. And May isn’t out yet!!!
For every complex problem in the world, there is a simple and easily understood solution that’s wrong.

A near perfect summers morning, but now it’s getting a bit more humid. Still, will be sat in the garden all day. And as for washing, we’ve had stuff out on the line since March, my wife stating that it always smells nicer. The last 2 days the wash has gone out in the evening and been bone dry by 10am.

It rained in the night, and the air when I opened the shutters this morning was delightful.  After I'd showered and dressed I stuck my nose out again for another lungful, and realised that one of the village farmers had been tossing his byre.
I've dusted off all those old bottles and set them up straight
