Garmin mapping in B&W

Is there a decent map, presumably one of the varieties of OSM, that is basically black (lines) and white (background), for Garmin?

Thanks, Stuart.

Which Garmin?

Newer models x30 & x40 and Explore 2 have some options for "MapThemes", the "High Contrast" themes are basically black roads on white background and minimal everything else.

Something like this, https://res.garmin.com/en/products/010-02503-20/g/44085-S-17-622e9f46-f0f4-4727-b618-37b553b21a08.jpg

Diving deeper into the Maptheme hacks allows you to modify the colors of many map elements, all with the standard Garmin maps (which are basically OSM with a few frills.

The Maptheme setings / hacks work on OSM maps as well

There is even software from pinns.co.uk thal takes most of the "hacking" out of the process

Thanks, it'll be for an Edge 530. Will have a look at the themes.

The customising I will look at but looks (to me anyway) likely a bit of a learning curve.

Ok, then it is pretty easy, on the 530

MENU>Settings>Activity Profiles>[Select Profile]>Navigation>Map>Map Theme>[Select Theme]

Standard Themes are Classic, Mountain Biking, High Contrast. Note that the selection is for each Profile you use.

Try High Contrast, if you don't like it you can just select one of the others

With a XML editor or the Pinns software you can make other changes, if you are going down that rabbit hole then look at this Garmin Forum discussion BUT as you say there is a "BIT" of a learning curve

The Standard High Contrast looks like this
