A tad funny i think. This guy i cycle with and hes quite fast and his reaction to some of the drivers are quite good.
Now this is a proper reaction, not one of those wimpy ones.

Til they stop and get out their
car white van and run into the road to try to grab you off the bike. At this point ability to change direction and accelerate hard in an arc around said wanker (just outside of their reach) are invaluable. Do not ask me how I know this. ::-)

Oh, that's Ex GR from the Guardian cycling thread! We're kicking YACF's arse on the TFL challenge.

Ooooooh.
I need to keep more up to date ::-)

He's a superstar, never met him except online for the past 9 years!
-
Well i can tell you that he is a very nice chap in person and an excellent rider. Hes in the same cycling club that i am.

I still don't recommend that sort of reaction, not unless you are Bruce Banner or Chuck Norris.
6"is loads of room anyway. It's when their wing mirror brushes your sleeve that they are too close ;)

And the arse kicking?

AIUI there arse some folk herabouts who see that as something desireable :demon:

Blimey. Someone giving me that amount of room on my Brum commute would get a cheerful wave of thanks.

Chuck Norris would not be peturbed by a close overtake. In fact, the closer the better.

Not sure whether this was in jest ^?
6' is loads of room. 6" is too close. They wouldn't overtake another motor vehicle so closely. Or maybe they would - that driver didn't leave much room for the oncoming vehicle!

You don't overtake Chuck Norris. He undertakes you.

Half in jest - note the smiley - 6" is scary, but it isn't crap-your-pants close.

Agreed. Perhaps I should brush up on smiley usage :-\

Last time I told an errant motorist (through the international language of the gesture) that he had an active sex life but there was no-one else involved, he stopped and threatened to run me over.
